More About East Beach

East Beach was an accidental creation back in the 19th Century.

After the port and harbor were developed, East Beach was left over, is now one of the best beaches in the city. Pro tip, if you are a local and plan on many visits, a $50 Seasonal Parking Pass is a must. East Beach is known by locals as the “party beach’ because it has a very laid-back feel, fun seasonal events, volleyball, and of course it is the only park on the island where alcohol is permitted and sold. The expansive beach is ideal for outdoor adventure activities like volleyball, horseback riding, birding, and even has great fishing. It is also a private event destination with pavilion and stage, perfect for weddings, events, parties, and more.
